The theological reflection on the selected motives in contemporary Czech poetry
Sixta, Tomáš ; Bílek, Petr (referee)
The aim of this thesis is a theological reflection of contemporary Czech poetry. Specifically, the thesis deals with collections Úloža by Ivan Martin Jirous, Darmata by Petr Hruška and Osip míří na jih by Marie Iljašenko. It focuses mainly on their concepts of man, the world and transcendence. The work is divided into three chapters, the first two being a necessary prelude for chapter three. The first part of the thesis presents some of the ways in which theology can relate to poetry. Language, imagination and metaphor are presented as common fields of both theology and poetry. Furthermore, this chapter defines two possible theological approaches to poetry: The theological approach to poetry as an object of theology and as a subject of theology. In the second chapter, there is literary analysis of the collections, which is necessary for the third part. In the third part, which is the main focus of this thesis, a theological reflection of selected collections is presented. Its aim is not only to examine whether and how the selected themes in the collections correlate with their conception in theology, but also to present what they may be inspirational for theology.

Due to this we can watch the work with light, analyse it´s use during the ages of the sacred architecture. The work of an architect is situated in the intersection of theoretic and technical fields of human activities. It´s necessary that the artist or architect knows the theoretic aspects of the light but also that knows real numeral values of the coming light. It is good to know the reasons why and for what was the light used in the past and it´s also needed to have a knowledge how much of the light was used in the liturgical space. How much of the light was used in the interior in the past and how much do we use it nowadays? Is it possible to analyse the tendency in the use of the natural light? These questions are useful in forming new liturgical spaces also in nowadays. The first part of this work is focused on the theoretic aspects of the light (liturgy, theology, psychology and ergonomics). The second part of the work describes the measurements of the intensity of the natural light in the sacred spaces in the different selected churches. The conclusion compares different measured values in each sacred building and the results are included to the larger scientific and historical context. The Problems of the Soul in the Context of Christianity
KUČERA, Jaroslav
The thesis deals with the emergence of the concept of soul and its anchoring in Christianity. In this context, the theisis indicates the importance of the posthumous surviving element, that is crucial in eschatological expectations. It answers the question of whether the "soul" is a church mechanism to ensure the obedience of believers, as profane society often believes. By describing the eschatological concepts of two Christian wholes, one of which treats the soul differently, the thesis reveals consequences that culminate in a very peculiar interpretation of Scripture. Finally, the thesis shows the "soul" as a theologically necessary category to ensure a cohesive Christian system in the light of biblical statements.
